SL vs AFG 3rd T20I: Sri Lankan team failed to clean sweep, Afghanistan saved its shame by winning the last T20 match

The deciding match of the three-match T20I series between Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan (SL vs AFG 3rd T20I) was played on 21 February. In this match played in Dambulla, Afghanistan defeated Sri Lanka by 3 runs and saved its honor, while the Sri Lankan team won the three-match T20 series 2-1. In the last match, the Afghanistan team, batting first, scored 209 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

 

In response, the Sri Lankan team collapsed for 206 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. In this way, the Afghanistan team saved its credibility by winning the decisive match.

SL vs AFG 3rd T20I: Afghanistan beats Sri Lanka by 3 runs in final T20I

Even though the Sri Lankan team had to face defeat in the last match, the team won the series 2-1. Batting first, the Afghanistan (SL vs AFG) team scored 209 runs at the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Hazratullah Zazai faced 22 balls and scored 45 runs.

 

Rahmanullah Gurbaz faced 43 balls and played an inning of 70 runs with the help of 7 fours and 1 six. Captain Ibrahim Zadran faced 9 balls and scored 10 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai scored 31 runs in 23 balls. Mohammad Nabi played an unbeaten inning of 16 runs.

 

In reply, the Sri Lankan team had a bad start while chasing 210 runs. Kusal Mendis was out after scoring 16 runs. Kusal Perera was out on zero. After this, Pathum Nissanka took over the team's innings and played an inning of 60 runs in 30 balls, which included 8 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Wanindu Hasaranga scored 13 runs in 11 balls. Kamindu Mendis scored an unbeaten 65 runs on 39 balls, hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes.
