Turkiye Earthquake: India immediately sent help to help earthquake victims, Turkey said thank you, friend

The fire that came on Monday in Turkey and Syria created havoc. Thousands of people got absorbed in death's cheek. At the same time, many people are fighting the battle for life in hospitals. The devastating earthquake also leveled many buildings. Many people are feared to be buried under the debris. In such a situation, relief and rescue work is still going on.

 

Many countries have come forward to help Turkey in this difficult time. At the same time, India is also leaving no stone unturned to help Turkey. As soon as the earthquake caused havoc in Turkey, India sent its NDRF team for relief and rescue work without delay. Even after this, continuous help is being sent from India.

At the same time, Turkey has thanked India for this help. Turkish Ambassador to India Firat Sunel wrote on Twitter, "The word friend is common in Turkish and Hindi. We have a saying... Dost kara günde belli olur (A friend in need is a friend).. Many thanks for the help.

 

India sent two teams of NDRF

India has sent two teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) for relief and rescue operations. It has 101 members including five women personnel and four sniffer dogs. An NDRF team has already reached on Tuesday morning. The second team of NDRF has left Kolkata under the leadership of Commanding Officer Gurminder Singh. NDRF will start rescue operations as per the instructions of the Indian Embassy and local authorities.

NDRF Director General Atul Karwal said, "As soon as the earthquake struck Turkey, the Indian government decided to provide all possible help." The 1988 batch Gujarat officer said the NDRF was asked to send two teams there. "The 51 members, including five female personnel, left for Turkey at around 3 am on Tuesday. They landed at Adana airport at around 10.30 am after a seven-and-a-half-hour flight. The team also includes a doctor," he said.

 

Karwal said that we are in constant touch with the Indian Embassy in Turkey. They have deployed a liaison officer with the ability to speak English to liaise with local officials. It is for the local authorities to decide where they will station us.
