Music world's veteran singer Sonu Nigam often comes into limelight for some reason or the other. Along with his songs, many times his concerts are also in the news. Recently, during a concert, the singer had scolded the audience and now news of stone pelting on him during a recent live has come to the fore.
Sonu Nigam went to perform at Delhi Technological University's (DTU) Engifest 2025 on Sunday. But for some reason, a ruckus broke out in the middle of the concert due to which singer Sonu Nigam had to stop his program midway. A group from the huge crowd of lakhs of students started throwing stones and bottles on the stage, putting his team in danger.

According to the Hindustan Times, Sonu Nigam was stoned during a DTU event. The singer got upset due to the students throwing bottles and stones during the live show. He requested people not to do so. Sonu pleaded to the unruly audience present at the Rohini campus, "I have come here for you so that we can all have a good time. I am not asking you not to enjoy, but please don't do this." Sonu said that his team members have been injured.
Sonu Nigam remained calm even amidst the ruckus.
Some students have given their reaction on the incident. Geetika, a student of Daulat Ram College, said that it was shameful to see what happened in the concert. The singer had to stop his performance due to some unruly students. Another student praised Sonu Nigam's patience. The student said that despite the ruckus, the singer remained calm and he started the show again after requesting everyone.
At present, Sonu Nigam has not shared any statement or video regarding this matter. There are some clips of the Delhi University concert on his Instagram which have been shared by his fans. However, there is no glimpse of stone pelting or ruckus in it.
