Two-day traffic diversion in Delhi for Chhath festival; no entry on Delhi-Noida routes, including Bhajanpura.

Delhi Traffic Advisory on Chhath Puja: Large crowds are expected at various ghats across Delhi during the Chhath Puja festival. In view of this, the Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory. According to the Delhi Police, special traffic arrangements will be made for Chhath Puja 2025, which will be celebrated in Delhi from the afternoon of October 27th to the morning of October 28th.

 

It should be noted that more than 45,000 devotees are expected to arrive at various ghats in Delhi. In view of this number, the Delhi Police has already made preparations to manage traffic. Traffic diversions will be in effect from Monday afternoon, October 27th, to the morning of Tuesday, October 28th. People may face inconvenience during this period.

 

Keep these special things in mind:

 

Heavy traffic jams are expected near the major ponds in Eastern, Central/North, South/Southeast, North-West/Outer, and Western Delhi.

 

Traffic jams are possible on these roads: MB Road, Kalindi Kunj Khadar Road, Agra Canal Road, and Road No. 13.

 

Diversions are in place in the Bhajanpura area, Gandhi Nagar area, and Khajuri Khas area. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly.

 

Use public transport, especially the Delhi Metro, and avoid roadside parking.

 

Immediately report any suspicious object or person to the police.
