While responding to this petition, CJI N V Ramana said that we have sympathy for the students but the court cannot do anything in this. The Supreme Court said that we cannot order Putin to stop the war. It is not in our jurisdiction. The government is taking the necessary steps. We will ask the Attorney-General what more can be done in this matter?
