Ukraine-Russia War: Support on Ukraine's war, ruble trade, Russian Foreign Minister's visit to India gives Putin these hopes

Amidst the ongoing war with Ukraine, there is news that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is going to visit India soon. Although the date has not been announced yet, it is believed that this week the Russian Foreign Minister can come to Delhi.

The visit of Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov to India is important because India is one of the few big countries that are completely neutral in the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war. India is neither supporting Ukraine nor supporting Russia. India wants peace between the two countries to be established as soon as possible so the loss of life and property in Ukraine can be stopped.

India adopted a neutral stand

At a time when most Western countries including America and Europe are standing in opposition to Russia and imposing sanctions on Russia, India has not openly opposed Russia. In countries like China, UAE, and Saudi Arabia, India was absent during the voting on all resolutions against Russia in the United Nations. In such a situation, Russia is trying to strengthen relations with India.

Indo-Russian friend very old

India also does not want to go against Russia because the friendship between both countries has stood true even in very old and difficult situations. In the 1971 Pakistan War, Russia stopped the US war fleet from taking action against India. Today, 50 percent of India's weapons and military equipment are imported from Russia. From AK-203 assault rifles to T-90 tanks, Mi-17 helicopters, MiGs, and Sukhoi fighter jets to S-400 defense systems, India has been buying everything from Russia. India also has a trade of about $ 9 billion with Russia. In such a situation, India could not annoy Russia at any cost.

Russia needs India more during the Ukraine war

But during the war with Ukraine, Russia needs India more. The main reason for this is that today Russia has become isolated in the whole world. All the big countries including America have imposed restrictions on him. China certainly seems to be standing with Russia, but China's relations with America and European countries are not so good.

India has good relations with Russia and western countries

India today is one of the few large countries in the world that have strong relations with Russia as well as with other western countries including America. Even India has good relations with Ukraine. During the war, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is one of the few heads of state who talk to Russian President Putin on the phone and Ukraine's President Zelensky. At the behest of India, both the countries i.e. Russia and Ukraine had even announced a ceasefire for some time so that the Indian students could be safely evacuated from the war zone.

During his visit, Lavrov not only expects support from India but can also offer to do the Russian currency ruble for trade between the two countries instead of dollars. It is believed that India can also consider this.

If everyone is against it, then who will talk?

India has also made it clear that it is necessary to maintain relations with Russia so that talks can be held with Russia to stop the war. If all the countries stand against Russia, then who will talk to Russia? Anyway, the friendship between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Modi is not hidden from anyone.

If Putin had visited any country after the Corona period and just before the war, it was India. Although he came to India only for six hours, this clearly shows the inclination of Russia towards India. In such a situation, it will not be an exaggeration that in the coming days, India can also play the role of peacemaker between the two countries i.e. Russia and Ukraine.
