At the same time, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will present his report before the debate begins, after which the President of the 79th session of the General Assembly will address the assembly.

Guterres is also organizing an ambitious Summit for the Future at the United Nations Headquarters this week, under which the action day will be held on September 20-21 and the summit on September 22-23. World leaders will gather at the United Nations to adopt a future agreement, which will include a global digital agreement and a declaration on future generations.
