Kargil Vijay Diwas (Kargil Vijay Diwas 2024) is a very important day for all the countrymen of independent India. This day is celebrated every year on the 26th of July in India.
On this day, the Kargil War took place between the armies of India and Pakistan in the year 1999, which lasted for about 60 days. It ended on 26th July and India emerged victorious. This day is celebrated in honor of the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Kargil Vijay Diwas war.

How did he get the name Shershah?
Vikram was getting a job in the Merchant Navy in Hong Kong with a good salary, but he chose the Indian Army for the service of the country. On 20 June 1999 at 3.30 am, Captain Batra along with his companions conquered the most important peak 5140, just above the Srinagar-Leh road.
After the victory, Batra gave the message from this peak that 'Ye Dil Mange More'. Later it became popular in the whole country. For his indomitable bravery and valor, Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel YK Joshi gave Vikram the nickname 'Shershah'.
