The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had called the farmer leaders to meet him in his office in Parliament. Shortly before the meeting, Rahul had accused the government of not allowing the farmers to enter the Parliament. He told reporters, 'We had invited them (farmer leaders) to meet here. But they are not allowing them to come here (in Parliament). Because they are farmers, maybe that is why they are not allowing them to come inside.'
He further said, 'This is a problem. But what should we do? It can also be a technical issue.' However, after some time the farmers were allowed to go inside. According to the agency, the delegation of farmers has put forward the matter of bringing a Private Members Bill in front of Rahul Gandhi.

A delegation of 12 farmer leaders from across the country under the aegis of Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) met Rahul Gandhi. During this meeting, Congress MPs KC Venugopal, Amarinder Singh Raja Waring, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Gurjit Singh Aujla, Dharamvir Gandhi, Dr. Amar Singh, Deepender Singh Hooda and Jai Prakash were also present.
Protesting farmers will take out tractor rally across the country on August 15
On July 22, Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha said that they would burn effigies of the Modi government across the country. They will start fresh protests to fulfill their demands including making MSP guarantee legal, loan waiver, crop insurance, pension of farmers and agricultural laborers, and withdrawal of privatization of electricity.
Apart from this, marches will also be taken out to support private bills by the opposition. Protesting farmers will take out tractor rallies across the country on August 15. And will also burn copies of the new criminal bill.
