Addressing the inaugural session of the UP International Trade Show in Noida, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that taxes will be further reduced as the economy strengthens. He also hinted at further GST rate reductions.

Prime Minister Modi said that in 2014, a purchase of Rs 1 lakh was taxed at around Rs 25,000. Now, that tax has been reduced to Rs 5,000-6,000. PM Modi said that to hide their failures before 2014, the Congress and its allies are lying to the people.
PM Modi further said that we have increased the income and savings of the people of India. We will not stop here. As we continue to strengthen our economy, we will continue to reduce taxes. The process of GST reforms will continue uninterrupted.
"We can no longer accept dependence on anyone."
PM Modi advocated for India's self-reliance during his speech. He stated that a country like India should not be dependent on anyone. The PM stated that India is strengthening its position and will no longer accept dependence on other countries for its development.
He further stated that India is strengthening its foundation for the coming decade through self-reliance. In these changing times, if countries remain dependent on others, they will compromise their growth. He emphasized that while the world is facing uncertainty and disruption, India is experiencing impressive growth.
