After the record-breaking heat of March, even in April, the heat of Delhi is in no mood to give relief. In the first week of the month itself, the capital has been engulfed by heat, a yellow alert has been issued for the next week as well. The maximum temperature is likely to reach 43 degrees. The Meteorological Department says that in the coming days, people will suffer more heat. Apart from Delhi-NCR, many states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, and Mumbai are facing severe heat. In Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, the temperature has reached above 40 degrees Celsius. Heatwave conditions are likely to prevail over South Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh from April 6 to 10, while in Gujarat, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh during the next three days.

In Punjab also people are facing the wrath of heat. The temperature is expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius in the state on Tuesday, people will have to face scorching heat throughout the day. It can also increase by two to three days. Because of 'heat low' (surface air) in Barmer, Bikaner, and Jaisalmer of Rajasthan, a heatwave has been predicted till April 5.
According to Skymet Weather, a Western Disturbance is over North and adjoining Central Pakistan. An Induced Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Punjab and adjoining areas. A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over South Tamil Nadu. A trough is extending from Vidarbha to Interior Tamil Nadu via Karnataka.
