Corona Updates: 4.3% reduction in new covid cases in the country; 2,706 people positive, 25 dead in last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 2,706 new cases of corona have been reported in the country, while 25 people have died. At the same time, 2,070 patients were cured of the corona. The number of active case-patients in the country has increased to 17,698. On Saturday, 2,828 new cases of the corona were registered. On Sunday, there was a decrease of 4.3% in new cases of corona as compared to Saturday. The recovery rate in the country is 98.75%.

According to the Ministry of Health, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.60% and the weekly positivity rate was 0.54%. The number of people who have recovered since the beginning of the epidemic in the country has crossed 4.25 crore, while the death toll has gone up to 5.24 lakh.

Corona situation in Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi

For the last few days, Kerala has been reporting the maximum number of cases. 846 new cases were recorded here on the last day, 22 people died. At present, 4416 people are being treated in the state. The number of people who have recovered is 618.

Here in Maharashtra, 550 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours, after which the total cases have increased to more than 78 lakhs. The death toll from Corona in the state has reached 1.47 lakh. The positivity rate is 2.23% per 100 tests. 24,707 Kovid sample tests were conducted in the state on the last day.

357 new cases of corona have been reported in the capital Delhi, fortunately, not a single patient died. The positivity rate in the capital has come down to 1.83%. Experts say that the situation becomes critical when the positivity rate exceeds 5%. At present, there are 1624 active cases of corona in Delhi.

Karnataka corona update

241 new cases have been found in Karnataka, while not a single death has been reported. There are 2041 corona active cases in the state and the total cases have exceeded 99 lakhs. On Sunday, 18,579 tests were conducted in the state.

Vaccination was highest in UP

Talking about the ongoing vaccination campaign in the country, in the last 24 hours, more than 13.81 lakh people have been given vaccine doses. At the same time, more than 193.28 crore doses of the vaccine have been administered to the people so far. More than 32 crore vaccine doses have been applied in UP and more than 16 crores in Maharashtra.
