Weather Update: Severe heat and heat wave havoc in North India, alert issued in Delhi, know the weather condition of your state

In most states of North India, it is raining from the sky like strong sunshine during the day. People are troubled by the heatwave with the rising temperature. The Meteorological Department has warned of a heatwave in many states of the country. According to the IMD, severe heatwave conditions are likely over most parts of Rajasthan, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and West Madhya Pradesh. Due to the heat in the capital Delhi, the Meteorological Department has issued a 'yellow' alert. Heatwave condition has been predicted in many places of Delhi and severe heatwave condition in many areas. During the day, the minimum temperature of Delhi is expected to remain at 23 degrees Celsius today, while the maximum temperature may remain at 42 degrees Celsius.

 

Talking about the hilly areas, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of changing the weather again in Uttarakhand. Due to Western Disturbance, it may rain here in the next few days. Due to this, there may be some decrease in temperature. Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, will have a minimum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, the minimum temperature of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh is going to be 18 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to be 28 degrees Celsius.

 

Cyclonic Circulation over the Bay of Bengal

 

A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over the South-West Bay of Bengal. On the other hand, a low-pressure line from Vidarbha to South Interior Karnataka is passing through Marathwada and North Interior Karnataka. According to the Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance is likely to approach the Western Himalayas by the night of April 12. Due to its impact, the maximum temperature is likely to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius in many parts of Northwest India.

 

 

Life affected due to heatwave in Uttarakhand

 

Normal life is affected by the heatwave in Uttarakhand. Due to the rise in the maximum temperature by four to six degrees Celsius, the heat has troubled the people during the day. According to Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of a very high rise in temperature by Tuesday evening. Due to this, the scorching heat can be felt on the plains. Special vigil has been advised in sensitive areas in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Tehri, Pithoragarh, Almora, Bageshwar, Nainital, Champawat. However, light showers may also occur here. On April 13 and 14, there may be hail and rain in some places.

 

Relief from rain and storm in Himachal

 

In Himachal Pradesh, on Saturday night, there was some respite from the heat due to hailstorms and strong winds at some places in Mandi, Kullu, and Shimla districts. This has damaged the crops. On Sunday, there was sunshine in most places of the state. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the state from April 12. The director of the department, Surendra Pal, says that due to the active western disturbance, there was light rain with thunderstorms in many places. Una was the hottest place in the state, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius.

 

Jammu is suffering from hot air

 

With the rising temperature in Jammu and Kashmir, now the air has also started heating up. The heat is starting to get worse during the day. Sunday was the hottest day of the season in Jammu with the maximum temperature reaching 38.6 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain on April 13-14, which will bring relief from the heat. During normal days the weather will be dry and hot.

 

Punjab will be in the grip of a heatwave for two days

 

Heatwave conditions were prevailing in nine districts of Punjab for three days. The day temperature has crossed 40 degrees Celsius in these districts. Since April 13, Western Disturbance is becoming active in the upper areas of Himachal. Due to this, the state may remain cloudy and there is a possibility of rain. It will also affect many districts of Punjab. Himachal's rain will bring relief to many districts of Punjab from the heat for a day or two.

 

Chances of rain in these states

 

According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rains may occur over Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu's Arunachal Pradesh, and Kerala. Light to moderate rain may occur over the rest of Northeast India and Coastal Karnataka.
