The rains of the second round of monsoon have gained momentum in many states of the country. While some states are getting relief from this rain, it is becoming a problem for many states. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rains in some parts of the country for the next three days and the department said that heavy rains may cause flash floods in many places.

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be flash floods in many places due to heavy rains in some parts of central India and the west coast. These states include Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. The water level of the Godavari and Krishna rivers has increased significantly. Talking about the eastern states, flood waters have entered many villages in North Bihar.

Due to the increase in the speed of rain over the past few days, the water level of almost all the major rivers like Kosi, Kamala Balan, Bagmati, Mahananda, and Parman have increased in some parts of North Bihar on the Indo-Nepal border. According to the Water Resources Department, flood water has entered some villages of Patna, Begusarai, Katihar, Araria, Madhepura, Supaul, and Saharsa districts. At the same time, people have started migrating to safer places due to the fear of floods.

There is a possibility of rain in Mathura, Kasganj, Etah, Etawah, Agra, Mahoba, Jhansi, Hathras, Jaunpur, Bhadohi, Gonda, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, and Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh.

Light to moderate rain is expected in 10 districts of Bihar, Begusarai, Patna, Madhepura, Purnia, Katihar, Khagadia, Bhagalpur, and Munger and Banka, Kishanganj. The administration has asked the officials to be alert.

The Meteorological Office said that a long low-pressure area is also active over the Bay of Bengal and lies to the south of its normal position and will remain so for the next 4-5 days.
