Weather Update Today: Chances of snowfall on the mountains and dense fog in the plains, know the forecast of the Meteorological Department

Dense fog along with cold in North India has increased the problems of the people. On one side it was chilly due to the cold wave. On the other hand, air and rail traffic has been disrupted due to fog on Tuesday. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of fog in many parts of Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and East Uttar Pradesh and isolated areas of North Rajasthan during the next 24 hours.

 

The minimum temperature in Delhi is 7 degrees.

Cold wave continues in the national capital Delhi. To avoid the cold, people were seen heating the fire. According to IMD, the minimum temperature in the capital today is 7 degrees.

 

There will be relief from dense fog

The IMD said that fog is likely to reduce over many states, but dense fog is likely to continue in isolated areas during the subsequent 3-4 days. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, the minimum temperature between 3-7 degrees Celsius has been recorded in many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, and adjoining North-West Madhya Pradesh. Churu in western Rajasthan recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 0.5 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will be clear on Wednesday. The maximum temperature is forecast to be 18 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is seven degree Celsius. Whereas on Tuesday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 17.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 5.6 degree Celsius.

 

No respite from cold in Himachal

There is no respite from the dry cold in Himachal Pradesh. It was cloudy several times a week, but there was no rain. Due to snowfall on the peaks, the temperature at five places is running below the freezing point. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of snowfall on the peaks including Rohtang on Thursday. While low-lying areas may receive light rain. After that, there is less possibility of change in the weather till January 2 in the new year. Let us inform you that there was rain in the state in October, now the drought-like situation has prevailed in November and December. This is affecting agriculture and horticulture.

In Uttarakhand, the bright sunshine during the day is giving some relief, but the cold winds in the morning and evening are increasing the misery. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light rain and snowfall on the higher peaks for the next three days. Whereas, there is a possibility of dense fog in the plains. Especially in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar, with the onset of the cold wave, an orange alert has been issued regarding the formation of extremely cold day conditions. The state has received 70 percent less snowfall than normal. Despite this, there is no shortage of cold. Heavy fall in mercury has been registered in many plain areas including Pantnagar.
