West Bengal: BSF's statement on Murshidabad violence- the situation is better now, but the attack was serious; Congress-BJP continue to attack Mamata

BSF has given the latest information about the situation in Murshidabad, West Bengal after the violence broke out. BSF South Bengal Frontier DIG PRO Niloptal Kumar Pandey said that yesterday the situation had become more serious. BSF teams were attacked with petrol bombs and stones in Samsherganj area. He said, 'Our parties were attacked by the same people who have been trying to spoil the atmosphere from the beginning. The situation has improved now. None of our soldiers have been seriously injured, but when there is heavy stone pelting, minor injuries are natural.'

 

People are scared, this is true - BSF.

 

Niloptal Kumar Pandey further said that as soon as the situation worsened, BSF companies were deployed on the spot on the instructions of the administration. 'First two companies were sent, then the next day the number was increased to nine companies. We are present in all sensitive areas. People are scared, this is true.'

 

Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary's allegation - Riots are happening at the will of the government

 

Former Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary launched a major attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and BJP. He said- the BJP always polarizes communalism by creating riots. Mamata Banerjee pretends to be secular. The Bengal government gives BJP a chance so that common Muslims can be called Jihadis. Both parties benefit from this.' He also said, 'Riots happen only where the government wants. Just like it happened in Godhra in Gujarat, the same is happening in Bengal now.'

 

Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary will go to Murshidabad tomorrow

 

When asked if he would go to Murshidabad, he said, 'I am going tomorrow and we will try to establish peace there. Our MP Isha Khan has gone there, but the administration is not letting us go. While the entire administration - MPs, MLAs, Panchayat, and Police - is with TMC, still they were not aware of the riots? How is that so?'

 

BJP's allegation - Mamata is turning Bengal into 'Bangladesh'

 

Meanwhile, Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar also cornered the government on this issue. He said - 'After the deployment of central forces, some peace has definitely come, but still the Hindu society is not feeling safe. People who fled from Murshidabad are sitting as refugees in Malda and are not ready to go back.' Attacking Mamata Banerjee, he said, 'Hindus of Bengal have now understood that Mamata Banerjee has succeeded in turning Bengal into a light Bangladesh. Now people will have to unite and fight democratically.' He promised that 'If the BJP government is formed, then it will be the responsibility of our government and police to directly throw out the rioters.'

 

What is the situation in Murshidabad right now?

 

At present, heavy security forces are deployed in the area. Nine companies of BSF are deployed, which are patrolling all sensitive places. The administration is trying to ensure that violence does not erupt again. Common people are scared and many people are still hesitant to return to their homes.
