'Supreme' hearing on the arrest of Sonam Wangchuk today, wife filed a petition

Sonam Wangchuk was arrested by the government after the violence in Leh. Sonam Wangchuk is currently lodged in Jodhpur jail. At the same time, his wife Geetanjali filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the arrest of her husband, which is to be heard today.

 

Sonam Wangchuk was detained on 26 September last month. He has been booked under the National Security Act (NSA). Also, Sonam Wangchuk was claimed to have contact with the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.

 

Sonam Wangchuk's wife approached the Supreme Court on 2 October under Article 32 under Article 32 of the Constitution. The Supreme Court will hear the matter today.

 

4 killed in Leh violence

Please note that on September 24, there was a sudden outbreak of violence in Leh. The protesters also burnt the headquarters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to ashes. At the same time, the police investigation revealed that Sonam Wangchuk had a big hand in inciting violence. The performance took a violent form due to Sonam's inflammatory speeches. Police started open firing to stop the violence, killing 4 people.

 

Sonam Wangchuk was arrested after 2 days.

Curfew was imposed in Leh, and internet service was also stopped in many places. Sonam Wangchuk had a big hand behind this whole incident. Therefore, the police arrested Sonam Wangchuk only 2 days after the violence erupted. There were also indications of a foreign film through two NGOs against him.

 

Sonam demands an inquiry.

Sonam Wangchuk has been lodged in Jodhpur jail. Sonam has appealed to the people of Leh to restore peace. He has also demanded to conduct a judicial inquiry be conducted into violence. Sonam Wangchuk shared a post on Facebook and wrote, "I am physically and mentally fine. Thank you to all of you. I express my heart for the victim's families."
