Maharashtra politics has become bitter over the comments of comedian Kunal Kamra. Many Shiv Sena workers reached the Unicontinental Club and vandalized it. Allegedly, Kunal Kamra made objectionable remarks against Eknath Shinde in this club.
After the video went viral, Shinde faction leader Rahul Kanal complained to Kamra at Khar Police Station in Mumbai. The complaint alleges that Kamra recently made derogatory remarks against Deputy CM Eknath Shinde in a live show held at the Unicontinental Club in Khar West.
FIR registered against Kunal Kamra
Mumbai Police registered an FIR against comedian Kunal Kamra on Monday. An official gave this information. Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel has complained to the police. An official of MIDC police station said that based on the complaint, an FIR was registered against Kamra under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) early Monday. A case has been registered against him under sections 353(1)(b) and 356(2) (defamation). According to the official, in the nearly 2-minute video, Kamra also mocked the ruling NCP and Shiv Sena. The matter is being investigated.

Meanwhile, an FIR was filed against Shiv Sena Yuva Sena (Shinde faction) general secretary Rahul Kanal and 19 others for vandalizing the Habitat stand-up comedy set yesterday. The case has been registered under various sections of the BNS and Maharashtra Police Act.

Police said Shiv Sena workers vandalized Hotel Unicontinental in the Khar area of Mumbai, where Kamra allegedly mocked Eknath Shinde by calling him a 'traitor' in a show. Kamra's show was held at Habitat. This is the same place where the controversial 'India's Got Latent' show was filmed.

Kunal Kamra mocked Deputy CM Shinde with a modified song from the film 'Dil To Pagal Hai' during his show. Kamra also shared the video clip on the social networking platform X. Actually, Kamra was hinting at the rebellion made by Eknath Shinde in 2022.
