The Taliban have assured Pakistan that they will not allow Afghanistan's soil to be used against Pakistan.
According to the newspaper Dawn, a delegation of Pakistan led by Pakistan's National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf reached Kabul on Saturday.
Moeed Yusuf first met Amir Khan Muttaqi, the interim Foreign Minister of Afghanistan. He then met with the interim deputy prime minister, Abdusalam Hanafi.
According to a statement released from the Presidential Palace of Afghanistan, during his meeting with Moeed Yusuf, Abdusalam Hanafi said "Afghanistan's policy is very clear, we will not allow anyone to use our territory against our neighbors and other countries. We look forward to taking similar steps as well."
Pakistan's National Security Advisor is on a visit to Afghanistan at a time when tensions remain on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. There is an ongoing dispute between the two countries regarding the fencing of the border.
Apart from this, the banned organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has recently carried out several extremist attacks in Pakistan. Pakistan maintains that senior TTP leaders are sitting in Afghanistan and last month the TTP refused to go ahead with the ceasefire agreement with the Pakistan government.
Moeed Yusuf also recently appeared before a parliamentary committee of Pakistan and said that the soil of Afghanistan is being used against Pakistan.
However, Moeed Yusuf said that the Taliban government in Afghanistan maintains happy relations with its neighbor Pakistan and that the recent situation regarding border fencing is not part of the official policy of the Taliban government.
Full diplomatic relations with India not possible: Pak Foreign Ministry
Pakistan has said that it is not possible to restore full diplomatic relations with India in the current situation.
According to the newspaper Express, Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Asim Iftikhar said during a conversation with reporters on Friday that India will have to make the situation strategic because India's thinking and the steps taken by it are dangerous for the entire region.
Talking to reporters, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson said, "The ban on Kashmir Press Club, the arrest of journalists are examples of the fact that India spreads false propaganda in the matter of Kashmir. But now international organizations have exposed this lie of India. Is done."
Asim Iftikhar said that India is allegedly persecuting Indian-administered Kashmiris for the last 70 years and violated international laws.
Regarding humanitarian assistance from India to Afghanistan, a Pakistani spokesperson said, "We have permitted India to send wheat to Afghanistan through the Wagah border. "
The Pakistani spokesperson also accused India of blocking Pakistani YouTubers by calling them fake and trying to curtail the freedom of expression of those running Pakistani YouTube channels.
PPP will challenge the State Bank Amendment Bill in court
According to the newspaper Jang, the Pakistan People's Party has decided to challenge the State Bank of Pakistan Amendment Bill in court.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto will discuss the matter with senior party leaders Aitzaz Ahsan and Latif Khosa.
On Friday, the State Bank Amendment Bill was passed dramatically in the Senate, the upper house of the Pakistani Parliament, amid the heavy uproar.
44 votes were cast in support of the bill while 43 MPs opposed the bill. The government is in a minority in the Senate and the number of opposition MPs is high, but on the day of the introduction of this important bill, eight opposition MPs and four ruling party MPs were not present in the house.
There was a tie during voting on the bill, but in the end, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani voted in support of the bill. After the approval of President Arif Alvi, this bill will become law.
After this bill becomes law, it will be easy for Pakistan to take a loan of one billion dollars from the International Monetary Fund.
Speaking to reporters outside the House, senior PPP leader Sherry Rehman attacked Imran Khan's government, saying, "The country's autonomy was auctioned for one billion dollars. What he did in the dark of night is an example in history." Doesn't get it."
Sherry Rahman accused the Senate chairman of being partisan and said that the entire opposition is against this bill and whichever government comes forward will withdraw this bill.
However, Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry thanked senior PPP leader and former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for helping pass the bill. Geelani was not present in the House during the voting on the bill. According to Gilani, he was in Multan, so he could not reach the capital Islamabad.
