How does work

On the other hand, if a subscriber wants to change his telecom service provider, then he will not have to buy another SIM, instead an e-sim will be inserted in his mobile phone and the e-sim will be updated.

Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea e-SIM services all three major telecom companies of the country. Vodafone has recently started this service. Vodafone Idea has started it for postpaid customers in Delhi, Gujarat and Mumbai circles.

E-SIM currently works only on premium smartphones. Vodafone's e-SIM will support iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone SE (2020), iPhone XS, iPhone X Max, and iPhone XR. Later this service will be available for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Fold.
