The counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections is underway. It will become clear who will rule the country for the next five years. Also, it will be decided who will win the Odisha assembly elections.

 

There seems to be a big upset in the results of the assembly elections held in Odisha. According to the trends, the BJP seems to be forming the government here. At the same time, Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of the state for 24 years, seems to be leaving.

 

Elections were held on 147 assembly seats in Odisha. BJP is leading on 75 seats here. At the same time, Naveen Patnaik's Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is leading on 57 seats.

BJP seems to be gaining an advantage in the Lok Sabha elections in Odisha as well. Out of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state, BJP is leading on 18 seats. At the same time, the BJP is leading on two seats, while Congress is leading on only one seat.

 

Naveen Patnaik has been the CM for 24 years

BJD President Naveen Patnaik has been the Chief Minister for 24 years. He took oath as the Chief Minister for the first time on 5 March 2000. From then till 2019 he has been the CM of Odisha 5 times.
