A case of murder has been registered against Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra's son Ashish alias Monu after 9 people died during the farmers' agitation in Lakhimpur Kheri. Ashish is accused of crushing the farmers with a car. Ashish is the younger son of the minister. Those who know him say that from the very beginning, Ashish started learning politics along with his father. He handles his father's business in Lakhimpur. Ashish also takes care of the family's petrol pump and rice mill.
Active in politics since 2012
Ajay Mishra Teni, who started politics as a district panchayat member, got his ticket from BJP from the Nighasan assembly seat in 2012. After this, the command of his election campaign was taken over by his son Ashish. Then the lotus blossomed during the storm of SP on the Nighasan seat. Ajay Mishra Teni had registered a strong victory here. When the father became an MLA, the son's activism also increased.
In 2017 Ashish had claimed MLA's ticket
Expressing confidence in Ajay Mishra, who won in 2012, the BJP central leadership gave him the ticket for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Lakhimpur. Once again Ashish became active and took his father to Parliament. Ashish had matured after assuming command of two elections. In the 2017 assembly elections, Ajay Mishra also asked for a ticket for his son, but the matter did not materialize. However, even after not getting a ticket, he remained active in the Nighasan area.
Ashish was considered a potential candidate for 2022
Even though Ashish did not get a ticket in 2017. But in 2019, Ajay Mishra Teni once again got a Lok Sabha ticket. He once again won a landslide victory. Just in July, the BJP, expressing confidence in him, included him in the Union Cabinet. He was made Minister of State for Home.
There was a need for a brahmin face in the central UP of the central leadership. For which Ajay proved to be suitable. With Ajay becoming a minister, once again in the 2022 elections, the chances of son Ashish becoming a BJP candidate from the Nighasan assembly seat had increased.
What did father Ajay say on the allegations?
After the violence, Ajay Mishra Teni reached his Lakhimpur city residence and said that some people are accusing his son. While neither I nor my son was there. My son Ashish was in a riot program in the village. Administrative officers also live in that program. There is also photography and videography.
