
Aryan Khan Drugs Case: The decision on the bail petition filed in the Bombay High Court by Aryan Khan, son of Shahrukh Khan, who is in jail in the Cruise Drugs Party case, could not be decided even today. What did Aryan Khan's lawyer say in court?
During the hearing, Mukul Rohatgi said in the court that I received a copy of NCB's reply on the bail plea this afternoon and I have filed a rejoinder. He defended Aryan saying, "He (Aryan Khan) was invited on the cruise as a special guest. He was invited by Prateek Gaba, who was an organizer. He invited Aryan and the accused Arbaaz Merchant. Both were invited by the same person. They both went on the cruise together."
Mukul Rohatgi said that it seems that NCB had some prior information that people were taking drugs on this cruise, so they were present there in large numbers. He said that since there was no recovery. Aryan Khan was wrongly arrested. The allegation against him is that the accused Arbaaz Merchant had accompanied him on a cruise and is accused of possessing drugs.
NCB opposes bail in court
Opposing Aryan's bail during the hearing, the Narcotics Control Bureau said that it may affect the investigation of the case. NCB filed a 38-page affidavit.
Was taken into custody by NCB on 2nd October
On October 2, the NCB had detained several others, including Aryan Khan, Munmuman Dhamecha, and Arbaaz Merchant, in connection with the seizure of narcotics from a cruise going to Goa off the Mumbai coast. Later he was arrested. Aryan Khan is accused of possession, use, and smuggling of narcotic substances under the NDPS Act. NCB has so far arrested 20 people in this case.
