Amid the ongoing tussle for the post of Chief Minister after the Maharashtra Assembly elections, a meeting of the Mahayuti was held at Amit Shah's house in Delhi on Thursday. Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra's acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar, and Devendra Fadnavis were also present in this meeting. Along with this, BJP National President JP Nadda, Praful Patel, and Sunil Tatkare also attended the meeting. However, the CM face of Maharashtra was not revealed in this meeting.

Top leaders of the Mahayuti held a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence late Thursday night regarding the formation of a new government and power sharing in Maharashtra. Earlier, on Wednesday itself, Maharashtra Chief Minister and head of Shiv Sena Shinde faction Eknath Shinde had put an end to the discussions going on regarding the CM post. He said that I do not have the desire to become CM. Whatever decision PM Modi and Amit Shah take, I will accept it. There will be no obstacle from my side while forming the government.
