The Indian men's team previously won the T20 World Cup in 2024, where the winning team received a prize of ₹1.25 billion (approximately ₹1.25 billion). Furthermore, by winning the final, India received a prize money of ₹2.34 million (approximately ₹21.5 crore) from the International Cricket Council (ICC), while runner-up New Zealand received ₹1.17 million (approximately ₹10.75 crore).
