Jinping said this at a plenary meeting of the People's Liberation Army and the People's Armed Police Force delegation on Tuesday. He did not mention any danger, but his statement has come at a time when there is tension between the soldiers of China and India on the border.

 

China raised defense budget by 6.6% this year

Jinping emphasized Scientific Innovation in Defense. On defense spending, he said that every pie should be used in such a way that maximum results are obtained. Earlier on May 22, China increased its defense budget by 6.6% to $ 179 billion. This is almost three times India's defense budget.

 

On increasing the defense budget, China's defense spokesman Wu Qian said that we are currently facing new threats and challenges. During this, he specifically mentioned Taiwan, which has denied being part of China.

China has increased troops in Ladakh

China has increased the number of troops along the Line of Control (LAC) in Ladakh and North Sikkim in the last few days. The Chinese army has also made temporary hideouts by infiltrating Indian areas. This has led to increasing tension between the armies of the two countries. This month there have been three clashes of soldiers.

Prime Minister Modi discussed with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called a high-level meeting on Tuesday. It was attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, NSA Ajit Doval, CDS Bipin Rawat and the three army chiefs. After this, Modi also discussed with Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla. Earlier, the defense minister had a meeting with the CDS and the heads of the three armies for about an hour on tension in Ladakh.

 

India will deploy as many troops as China in Ladakh: report

In both meetings, Modi and Rajnath were informed of the Indian Army's response to China's antics, the news agency quoted sources as saying. Two important decisions were taken in the meeting. First - Road construction will continue in this area. Second, the deployment of Indian troops will remain the same as that of China.
