यस बैंक के संस्थापक राणा कपूर और उनकी पत्नी बिंदू कपूर के साथ-साथ अवंथा रियल्टी के प्रमोटर गौतम थापर के खिलाफ एक ताजा मामला प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) द्वारा दायर किए जाने की संभावना है। यह मामला अवंथा रियल्टी और ब्लिस एबोड प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के बीच कथित संदिग्ध सौदे के संबंध में दायर किए जाने की संभावना है, जहां कपूर की पत्नी निदेशकों में से एक हैं।
इस सौदे के माध्यम से, बिंदू कपूर ने दिल्ली के अमृता शेरगिल मार्ग पर स्थित एक हवेली का अधिग्रहण 378 करोड़ रुपये में किया। संपत्ति का उक्त मूल्य बहुत अधिक था, लेकिन ब्लिस एबोड ने कम कीमत के लिए अधिग्रहण कर लिया और फिर 685 करोड़ रुपये में इंडियाबुल्स हाउसिंग फाइनेंस लिमिटेड को गिरवी रख दिया। यह आरोप लगाया जा रहा है कि कपूर जिन्होंने बदले में अवंता रियल्टी को हवेली के लिए कम मूल्य का भुगतान किया, ने कथित तौर पर यस बैंक में रियाल्टार के अन्य मौजूदा ऋणों को छूट दी। इसके अलावा, कपूर पर अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान अवंथा रियल्टी को और अधिक ऋण देने का आरोप लगाया गया है।

ईडी के अधिकारियों ने सोमवार को पीएमएलए अदालत में यह भी कहा कि ब्लिस एबोड द्वारा संपत्ति का अधिग्रहण करने से पहले ही इसे इंडियाबुल्स हाउसिंग फाइनेंस के साथ गिरवी रख दिया गया था। ईडी के लिए पेश हुए अतिरिक्त सॉलिसिटर जनरल अनिल सिंह ने कहा कि सितंबर 2017 में बिंदू कपूर की फर्म द्वारा बंगले के अधिग्रहण से काफी पहले, उन्होंने उसी संपत्ति के खिलाफ जुलाई 2017 में इंडियाबुल्स से 90 करोड़ रुपये का ऋण लिया था। राणा कपूर ने अपनी पत्नी बिंदू कपूर की फर्म ब्लिस एबोड प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के स्वामित्व वाली कंपनी के माध्यम से यस बैंक से बंगला खरीदा। संपत्ति को शुरू में आईसीआईसीआई बैंक, फिर यस बैंक के साथ गिरवी रखा गया था। यस बैंक से लगभग 400 करोड़ रुपये उधार लिए गए और संपत्ति पर ऋण के लिए आईसीआईसीआई बैंक को भुगतान किया गया।
केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (सीबीआई) ने भी 13 मार्च को कपूर, गौतम थापर, बिंदू राणा और अज्ञात अन्य के खिलाफ इसी मामले में एक ताजा मामला दर्ज किया था। सीबीआई द्वारा मामला आईपीसी की धारा 120 बी और 420 के तहत और पीसी एक्ट, 1988 की धारा 7, 11 और 12 के तहत दर्ज किया गया था। सीबीआई ने 13 मार्च को राणा कपूर सहित आरोपियों के ठिकानों पर मुंबई, दिल्ली-एनसीआर में तलाशी ली थी। बिंदू कपूर, अवंथा रियल्टी, ब्लिस एबोड और अन्य निजी कंपनियों के कार्यालयों में शामिल होने का संदेह था।
