Corona figures in the country have again given relief. On Tuesday, 71869 new cases came, 81945 patients were cured, while 990 died. On September 17, the country had the highest number of 10.17 lakh active cases, which has now come down to 9.7 lakh.
So far, 67.56 lakh cases have been reported in the country. Of these, 57.41 lakh patients have been cured, while 1.04 lakh people have lost their lives due to the disease. 48% of deaths occurred in 25 districts of the country
The Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday that so far 48% of the patients died of infection in the country in 25 districts of eight states. Of these, 15 districts are from Maharashtra. Karnataka, West Bengal, and Gujarat have 2–2 districts, while Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu have 1–1 district. Meaning that the most impact of deaths from Corona has taken place in these districts. The central government has asked all states to try to reduce the death rate to less than 1%.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that there are 10 states, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, with 77% active cases. Among these, there are three states where 50% of active cases are there. Active cases have been declining continuously for the past two weeks. This is a good sign.
People will be careless if declared peak
The Health Ministry also says that on the scale of WHO, the peak of Corona has arrived in the country, now it is necessary to take precautions to stop the second wave. In the country, the rate of increase in active cases for 14 consecutive days from September 22 to October 5 was below zero. According to WHO standards, the peak was declared on the same basis in all countries of the world. However, the ministry says that people can be negligent if they declare a peak based on data. We need to take more precautions during the festive season.
