First of all, the vaccination of front-line workers and elderly people suffering from serious illnesses started. In the first week itself, 12,43,013 vaccine doses were given. After this, the speed of corona vaccination kept increasing week after week. The week of 13 to 19 March 2021 was the first week in which more than one crore of people was vaccinated. However, when the second wave of corona came in May 2021, the pace of vaccination slowed down. Every week vaccination which had increased to 20 million. It came down to less than one crore.
