395th birth anniversary of Maratha Empire founder Shivaji Maharaj: PM Modi, Amit Shah and many other leaders paid tribute

Today is the 395th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire, on this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to him. Apart from PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have also paid tribute.

 

PM Modi posted on social media platform X and wrote, "His valor and visionary leadership laid the foundation of Swarajya, inspiring generations to uphold the values ​​​​of courage and justice. He inspires us to build a strong, self-reliant, and prosperous India."

Apart from PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to Shivaji Maharaj and said that he will always be remembered as a nation-builder.

 

He wrote on X, "The life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who proclaimed the Hindu Swarajya, was a confluence of morality, duty, and piety. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who fought against fanatic invaders all his life and protected the flag of Sanatan Swabhiman, will always be remembered as the builder of the nation."

 

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh posted on X, "I salute Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary, his unparalleled courage, commitment to justice and unwavering dedication to the welfare of the people will continue to inspire us. Shivaji Maharaj's legacy of selfless service, loyalty, and resilience will pave the way for prosperity and peace for generations to come."

 

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Shivneri Fort in Pune. CM Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar attended several events including the Palna ceremony at Shivneri Fort on Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary.

Born in Maharashtra in 1630, Shivaji combined military brilliance and political acumen to challenge Muslim sultans in the south and the Mughals in the north to expand his kingdom, which became India's most powerful empire before being defeated by the British.
