Rajasthan Royals' young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi touched Mahendra Singh Dhoni's feet and concluded the IPL 2025 season with blessings. Rajasthan and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced each other at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday. This was Rajasthan's last match this season, and 14-year-old Vaibhav was successful in making an impact in this match as well.

Vaibhav made headlines this season.

When the players of both teams were meeting each other after the match, Dhoni and Vaibhav encountered each other, and this young batsman touched Mahi's feet. Dhoni, however, was seen stopping him. Vaibhav is the youngest player to play in the IPL, and he made a lot of headlines in his very first season. Vaibhav got a chance to play in seven matches this season and scored 252 runs at a strike rate of 206.56 and an average of 36. Rajasthan had bought Vaibhav in the mega auction, and this batsman lived up to the team's expectations. However, the Rajasthan team could not make it to the playoffs, and its journey came to an end in the group stage itself.

Rajasthan won on the strength of Vaibhav-Samson.

Based on a 90+ run partnership between Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Sanju Samson, the Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by six wickets. Chennai Super Kings, who lost the toss and came out to bat first in this match, scored 187 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Rajasthan scored 188 runs for the loss of four wickets in 17.1 overs and registered their fourth win of the tournament.

Rajasthan's innings

Chasing the target, Rajasthan had a good start. Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal shared a 37-run partnership for the first wicket, which was broken by Anshul Kamboj. He bowled Jaiswal. He was dismissed after scoring 36 runs in 19 balls. Suryavanshi was then joined by captain Sanju Samson. Both added 98 runs for the second wicket.
