The list of 56 Kashmiri Pandits working in government departments in Kashmir Valley has been leaked and terrorists have gotten into their hands. This list is being shared on blogs related to terrorist organizations and Kashmiri Pandits are being threatened. The BJP has demanded an inquiry into the matter.
Since 2010, 5000 pundits have been recruited under the PM rehabilitation package. Kashmiri Pandits are already being targeted and killed in the valley. The list of Kashmiri Pandit employees was shared on the blog link of The Resistance Front (TRF), an organization affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.
This list contains the names of 56 Kashmiri Pandits who are working under the Prime Minister's Rehabilitation Package. It has been said in TRF's blog Kashmir Fight that they cannot tolerate the 6,000 flats being built for Kashmiri Pandits. BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur has expressed concern over the leak of the list. Thakur has asked the police to investigate the matter of how this list got leaked.
The investigation is necessary for the safety of Kashmiri Pandits. Meanwhile, the police have issued a new SOP for its jawans, in which it has been said that they have to be alert even when they are off duty.
24 Hindus have been killed in a year
Various organizations of Kashmiri Pandits have claimed that 24 Kashmiri and non-Kashmiri Hindus were killed by terrorists in the Valley during the last year. BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur has requested the police to investigate the leak of the list. Thakur said that the terrorists have a clear idea of who is stationed where. The government should take strict cognizance of this. It must be ascertained who leaked the list at a time when targeted killings are taking place in the Valley.
176 terrorists killed this year
To eliminate the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, a continuous campaign is being run by the police and the army. During this, many terrorists were also killed in the encounter. Till October this year, 176 terrorists have been killed. Of these, 126 were local terrorists. A total of 134 active terrorists are currently present in Jammu and Kashmir. Of these, 83 are foreign and 51 are local terrorists.
There have been 21 target killings so far this year. These include Kashmiri Pandits, laborers from outside the state, and government employees. This year 9 Hindus have lost their lives in different terrorist attacks.
