Of the 81 people hanged, 73 were Saudi nationals, seven Yemenis, and one Syrian. They tried to kill the security officers. Several police stations were targeted. One of them was a Yemeni citizen who worked for ISIS. Many were terrorists affiliated with Al Qaeda, Islamic State, and the Houthi rebel organization.

The Saudi court sentenced these 81 criminals after finding them guilty of kidnapping, torturing, killing a security officer, and creating a terrorist cell.
