New Delhi, Feb 3 (IANS) The AAP Volunteer Action Manch (AVAM), a breakaway group of the Aam Aadmi Party, Tuesday questioned the funding of the Arvind Kejriwal-led party.
At a press conference here, AVAM raised questions on companies that fund the AAP and alleged that the party has received donations from "fraud" companies.
It said all the money that was received as funding was "not necessarily clean".
"The business of these companies is to turn black into white," AVAM member Karan Singh said at the press conference.
Karan Singh and Gopal Goyal of AVAM alleged that the AAP received four cheques of Rs.50 lakh each from four "dubious companies" at the same time.
The AAP Monday demanded a Supreme Court-monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe funding of all three major parties -- the AAP, the Congress and the BJP -- in the Delhi polls and said it was ready to face any action if found guilty.
