Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday released the manifesto for the Delhi Assembly elections from the party headquarters. Aam Aadmi Party has tried to woo various sections through the election manifesto of 15 guarantees.
AAP's manifesto has been prepared keeping in mind various sections ranging from women, youth, elderly, and poor. Kejriwal has also signed the guarantee letter in front of the public on the stage.
AAP convenor said, "This is not our manifesto, this is our guarantee which only Kejriwal can give. Some political parties release Sankalp Patra, some say something else but all of them are fake. The announcements of other parties are only election slogans. When we started using the word guarantee, other parties have also adopted the word guarantee. Our guarantee is sure, today we have brought 15 guarantees for the public. We will fulfill these guarantees in the next 5 years."
AAP's 15 guarantees released
The first guarantee is an employment guarantee. We have done a lot of work in employment but we want that not even a single person should be unemployed in Delhi. For this, we are making a complete plan on how to employ every youth in Delhi.
The second guarantee is Mahila Samman Yojana. After the formation of the government, the Mahila Samman Yojana will be implemented first, under which every woman will be given Rs 2100 as honorarium every month.
The third guarantee is Sanjeevani Yojana. Under Sanjeevani Yojana, the Delhi government will provide treatment to every elderly. Along with the government, the elderly will also be treated for free in private hospitals.
The fourth guarantee is a waiver of wrong water bills. After our government is formed, the wrong water bills will be waived.
The fifth guarantee is that 24-hour water will be made available in every house.
We guaranteed that Yamuna will be cleaned.
The next guarantee was that Delhi's roads would be made world-class. Today I am admitting in front of everyone that we could not work on these three guarantees, which include providing 24-hour water supply to every household, cleaning the Yamuna, and making the roads of Delhi world-class, but work could not be done on these schemes because of this. As soon as our government was formed, the coronavirus epidemic came first. Corona lasted for two and a half years, after that they started putting our ministers in jail, put us in jail, and all the work was over.
The Doctor Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme is the next guarantee. If any Dalit child's dream of going abroad to study is not fulfilled due to lack of money, then this scheme has been brought for this and the government will bear the entire expenses for the Dalit children to study abroad at its own expense.
The next guarantee is for students. Just as we let women travel free in buses. Similarly, students will travel free in buses and they will be given a half discount on the fare in the metro.
The next guarantee is for Pujari Granthi Yojana. Under this scheme, priests of temples and granthis of Gurudwaras will be given an honorarium of Rs 18000 per month.
Scheme to waive electricity bills for tenants. In Delhi, we have waived electricity up to 200 units, and water bills have been waived, but many tenants are not getting the benefit of this. We will take a scheme for this and guarantee that tenants will also be able to get the benefit of electricity and water freedom.
There is a problem with sewer in many places in Delhi, sewers are clogged and sewers are overflowing at some places. To solve this problem, we will bring a scheme under which the old sewer lines will be replaced. Their capacity will be increased.
The quota of ration cards has not been increased in Delhi for many years. Due to people's ration cards not being made, it will be opened and people's ration cards will be made.
The government will give ₹ 100000 for the marriage of the daughter of auto taxi e-rickshaw drivers.
Their children will be given free coaching. Life insurance of 10 lakhs and health insurance of 5 lakhs will be given to them.
It was the responsibility of the BJP government at the Centre to maintain law and order in Delhi but they did not do so and today the law and order situation in Delhi has deteriorated. We did whatever we could and now we are going to take another step forward in this. We will give money to all the RWAs in Delhi to keep security personnel.
The 6 benefits that are already being provided will continue: Kejriwal.
24-hour free electricity will continue.
20000 liters of free water per month will continue.
Women will continue to get free bus travel.
Good and free education will continue.
Free pilgrimage for the elderly will continue.
The network of hospitals and mohalla clinics will be expanded and free facilities will continue in them.
He said, "If you calculate, the Delhi government is assisting ₹25000 per family per month. Today I want to say again that the BJP is repeatedly saying that if their government comes, they will stop all these facilities and it will become difficult for poor people to live in Delhi."
On the other hand, the BJP is trying its best to win the support of voters by releasing its manifesto in three phases for the Delhi assembly elections. AAP has been releasing manifestos based on 10 guarantees on different issues in the previous assembly elections.
