Indian option of PUBG can be seen soon. It will be launched from the market under the name of FAU-G. It is being published by Bangalore-based company nCore Games. Indian Games industry veteran Vishal Gondal and film actor Akshay Kumar are promoting it on Twitter.

The word FAU-G is short for Fearless and United-Guards. It has also been said in the tweets that 20 percent of the revenue of this game will be donated to the Veer of Government Fund Raising Initiative India. However, the release date of FAU-G has not been announced yet. It is also not clear whether it will be in the mobile version only or the PC version will also come.

Udhogapati Vishal Gondal is the CEO of GOQii, a fitness wearables maker company. He has posted a tweet on Friday about the development of FAU-G. Gondal established the game industry in India in 1999, which he sold to Disney in 2011. In March last year, he invested in more Games and is associated with the company as an advisor.

Apart from Gondal, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar promoted the development of FAU-G through his Twitter account. A poster adjusting the storyline of the game has also been shared on the microblogging site. It is considered to be a contribution to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "self-reliant India".

The FAU-G announcement comes just days after the government banned PUBG Mobile and other 116 mobile apps related to China. PUBG was very popular among young mobile gamers.

The gaming industry in India is slowly gaining momentum and PM Modi talked about an indigenous game industry a few days before the ban on PUBG. In August last year, a combat-based mobile game on the Indian Air Force was released by Indian Air Force: A Cut AboveÓ Indian Air Force officials. This game has been downloaded over 10,00,000 on Google Play so far.
