Afghanistan: Afghan women started the women's revolution in Kabul, raising the issue of the violation of fundamental human rights

A group of Afghan women has announced the launch of Afghanistan's Women's Revolution in Kabul for fundamental human and women's rights in the country. According to Donya Safi, one of the organizers, the movement aimed to "protect the basic rights of citizens, especially women, as access to basic rights is a vital necessity for citizens."

 

Women are not allowed to participate in the Taliban government

According to Khama Press, we started this campaign to fight injustice and inequality against women, Amu TV reported. Safi said the supporters of the movement include students, teachers, and many former government employees fighting for women's rights.

 

According to Safi, society can progress only with the contribution of women. Consequently, if women do not contribute to society, society will not progress. Despite the essential role women play in the country's progress, women are not allowed to participate in the current Taliban government.

 

Women banned from working in non-governmental organizations

The United Nations said in a statement that Guterres expressed his concern about the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan. Islamic Emirate's spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, however, denied the claims and said that the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan are upheld and the international community should refrain from using the topic of women to put pressure on the current administration.

 

The Taliban barred women from working in non-governmental organizations, which sparked outrage both nationally and internationally. Recently, ten women foreign ministers attending the 59th Munich Security Conference condemned the restrictions imposed on women and girls in Afghanistan in a statement.
