Just before the visit of President Draupadi Murmu to Punjab on Thursday, there was a stir due to the incident of writing slogans in support of Khalistan. The President is on a 4-hour visit to Amritsar today. Before his visit, these slogans were found written outside Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) in Amritsar. The banned terrorist organization Sikh for Justice (SFJ) has taken the responsibility of getting the slogans written. Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, the head of this organization sitting in America released a video related to it.

Amritsar district administration swung into action as soon as information related to Khalistani slogans was received. The officers who reached the spot in a hurry got the banner written outside GNDU removed.

A meeting of the delegates of G20 countries is to be held in Amritsar next week. This meeting will be held in GNDU only. In such a situation, it is surprising that banners with Khalistani slogans were put up outside the most sensitive spots and the police administration did not even get a clue.

Amritsar 'no-fly zone' for 4 hours

President Draupadi Murmu is on a 4-hour visit to Amritsar today. His plane reached Amritsar airport at 12 noon. Apart from paying obeisance at the Golden Temple, the President will visit Jallianwala Bagh, Durgiana Temple, and Ramtirtha. Because of his visit, Amritsar has been declared a 'no-fly zone' from 12 noon to 1 pm. During this time only two pre-scheduled international flights from London and Birmingham will take off from Amritsar Airport. His passenger was also instructed to reach the airport before 12 noon.

Wrote- Welcome to G20 in Khalistan

Ahead of the President's visit, banners with pro-Khalistan slogans were found outside the Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) in Amritsar on Thursday morning. The banners read 'Welcome G20 to Khalistan' and 'Khalistan is not a part of India'.

SFJ chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu sitting in America said in his video that he had got these banners installed. Pannu also threatened to block the railway line from Amritsar to Bathinda from March 15 to 17.

Badal family's hold on SGPC

In the video, Pannu also advised Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Akal Takht, the highest body of Sikhs. Pannu said that Jathedar Harpreet Singh is talking about the disintegration of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). He is also calling it the mini parliament of Sikhs, but he knows that SGPC is in control of the Badal family. This Badal family got the first attack on Sikhs done. The attack on the Golden Temple also took place at his behest. Badal himself follows the instructions of the Central Government.

talk of taking up arms for freedom

In her video, Pannu advised Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh and said that Khalistan will not be formed by cursing the Indian government. Sikhs are still slaves and they will get freedom only after taking up arms.
