Afghanistan's caretaker PM, in his first address, accused Ghani of embezzlement, pleaded for help

In his first public address on Saturday, Afghanistan's caretaker Prime Minister Muhammad Hassan Akhund tried to assure the world that his country wants to maintain good relations with all other nations. Akhund was quoted by Tolo News as saying, "Afghanistan wants to strengthen economic ties with all nations." We do not want to interfere in the international affairs of any country.

Akhund appealed to all countries to continue helping the citizens of Afghanistan. During a televised address, Akhand accused former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani of corruption and embezzlement of funds. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said in a report that Afghanistan's economy could decline by 30 percent or more year on year. Claims to increase exports to Iran by 50 percent

 

The Chamber of Commerce and Investment has claimed that there has been a 50 percent increase in exports from Afghanistan to Iran this year as compared to last year. Materials worth $17 million have been exported to Iran.
