Air attack on Russia's Angles airbase: A drone sent by Ukraine destroyed in the air, and three Russian soldiers were killed in debris

Ukraine attacked Russia's bomber base with a drone, killing three soldiers. According to the BBC report, Russia's air defense had destroyed Ukraine's drone in the air but its debris fell on the Angles bomber base.

 

Giving information about this incident, Russia said that Ukraine had sent this drone late at 1.35 am. Videos viral on social media showed sirens being heard at Anglesey Air Base before the blast.

 

There was no damage to the weapons kept at the air base

Russia's Defense Ministry has issued a statement saying that no weapons and goods were damaged in the attack on Angles Air Base. Roman Busargin, the governor of Saratov, where the air base is located, said that no citizens of Engels town were hurt.

According to a Reuters report, along with the Angles airbase, Ukraine had targeted the airbase in the Ryazan area. There was minor damage to two aircraft. Since the air attack on the airbase built in the interior of Russia, many questions are being raised about Russia's air defense system. Angles airbase is very important for Russia in the Ukraine war. According to BBC, since February till now, many air strikes on Ukraine have been done from this base.

 

What is Russia's new air defense system 'Interfax'?

Ukraine's drones are now reaching deep inside areas of Russia in the war. To deal with them, Russia is working day and night to build its new air defense system, Interfax. The Interfax air defense system will be an anti-aircraft missile system that will deter missile and air attacks from Ukraine. According to Reuters, the S-300V battery installed in the interface will track the target from a distance of 204 km and an altitude of 30 km.
