Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that we would further develop our military capability in Western-backed Ukraine. He said that he would increase the combat readiness of his nuclear arsenal. Putin said during a virtual meeting with high-ranking officials of his country, 'The combat capability of the armed forces and our armed forces is increasing continuously and every day. And of course, we will take this process forward.

Russia will get a new missile in January

"Today our goal is to implement the full range of measures necessary to achieve qualitative renewal and reform of the armed forces," Putin said at an expanded meeting of the Russian Defense Ministry's board. He ordered the army to maintain and develop nuclear war preparedness. The Russian President also mentioned the new Zircon hypersonic cruise missile, which Russian troops will be able to use from January.

Putin's emphasis on the latest weapon system

"In early January, the Admiral Gorshkov frigate will be equipped with the new Zircon hypersonic missile, which has no analogs in the world," Putin said. He said that the level of modern weapons in Russia's strategic nuclear forces has exceeded 91 percent and we will carry out all our plans to equip the strategic forces with the latest weapon systems.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu proposed increasing the strength of the Russian Armed Forces to 1.5 million soldiers, including 695,000 contract soldiers.
