Office cabin-like peace will be found in Vande Bharat Express: Target to make 115 trains in the next two years, including 75 chair cars, 40 sleepers

More than 100 coaches of the Vande Bharat train are going to be manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Perambur. After the chair car, now sleeper coach trains are also going to hit the tracks. Their design is ready, just waiting for the board's approval. The target is to make 115 Vande Bharat trains in the next two years. Of these, 75 are chair cars and 40 are sleepers. ICF GM and Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer S. Srinivas say that all the trains will be made in two years. After April, these will also be made in Kapurthala and Rae Bareli.

Nonetheless, parcels of parts piled up at the front of the factory, indicating that work is in full swing inside. Hundreds of engineers and technicians are working here every day from 7.30 am to 2.00 pm. A complete rack is standing ready in the final testing unit. In this, experts are explaining the method of operation to the pilots. Some people were using cranes to fix the roof of the train on the side walls and base of the coach.

This is an assembled unit. About 100 coaches are being prepared here. Publicity Inspector Illibabu working here says that finishing is going on in the second part. That is, the carpet of the floor is being installed, the windows are being installed, and the fitting and wiring of the sanitary are being done. In the finishing unit also, more than 50 coaches are running in the last stage. In the third part of the LHB, wheels from Ukraine are lined up on bogies.

Ukraine is supplying the wheels of the Vande Bharat train. Due to the war there, these wheels were stuck for a few months. They were taken to Romania by vehicles, then airlifted and brought to India.

New feature: If the driver forgets to brake, the sensor will stop the train

Armor improved. If the driver forgets to brake in case of danger, the sensor will automatically apply. There will be less scope for human error.

With the emergency talk system, the passenger can talk directly to the driver. Earlier there were two points outside the coach, now there are 4 points.

180 km speed testing has been done. Currently running at 160, but due to the tracks, the speed is 130.

View of coaches and platforms from the driver's cab. 6 CCTV cameras are being installed in all coaches.
