Air India Flights Ban: Air traffic again under the shadow of Corona, Air India flights to Hong Kong cancelled till April 24

The shadow of the corona epidemic is once again visible on air traffic. Air India flights to Hong Kong have been banned till 24 April. An official said that Hong Kong has banned flights after three passengers were found corona infected on a flight.

In a statement made on Monday, it was said that travelers from India can travel to Hong Kong only if they have a negative report of the corona test done 48 hours before the journey. In addition, it has been made mandatory for all international travelers to take a corona test upon arrival at the airport premises in Hong Kong. According to the report, on April 16, three passengers present in Air India's AI316 Delhi-Kolkata-Hong Kong flight were found to be corona infected.

Significantly, in the three waves of Corona, the aviation sector was among the most affected sectors. Regular international flights were resumed in India on March 27 after a prolonged ban of up to two years. The report said that Air India has canceled flight services to Hong Kong due to the Covid-19 restrictions imposed by the Hong Kong authorities and limited demand in the region. Air India also told in this regard through a tweet that the airline's flights have been canceled due to Hong Kong restrictions.
