Air Pollution: Delhiites face no relief from toxic air, with AQI remaining in the very poor category; many areas exceeded 400.

Due to falling temperatures in the capital, a rise in pollution is being observed. With favourable weather conditions, pollution remains in the very poor category today. The morning began with haze and fog, and a light layer of smog was also visible in the sky. This resulted in very low visibility in many areas. People experienced eye irritation, and those with respiratory problems faced difficulties. According to the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) in the capital was recorded at 387 on Friday morning.

 

 

According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) at 7 AM, the AQI in Alipur, Delhi, was 306, Anand Vihar 442, Ashok Vihar 392, Aya Nagar 397, Bawana 384, Burari 313, and Chandni Chowk 390.

 

 

Meanwhile, the AQI was recorded at 378 in DTU, 429 in Dwarka Sector 8, 371 at IGI Airport T3, 409 in ITO, 401 in Jahangirpuri, 354 on Lodhi Road, 409 in Mundka, 346 in Najafgarh, 418 in Punjabi Bagh, 401 in Rohini, 442 in Vivek Vihar, 360 in Sonia Vihar, 447 in RK Puram, and 406 in Wazirpur.

 

 

AQI in Ghaziabad

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI in Loni, Ghaziabad, was recorded at 282.  Sanjay Nagar recorded an AQI of 337, and Indirapuram recorded 332.

 

 

Noida's AQI is also above 400

In Noida, the AQI has also crossed 400 in several areas. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 428 was recorded in Sector 125, 369 in the Sector 62 area, 469 in Sector 1, and 424 in the Sector 116 area.

 

 

AQI recorded in Gurugram

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), an AQI of 393 was recorded at NISE Gwal Pahari in Gurugram, and 326 in the Sector 51 area. An AQI of 244 was recorded at Vikas Sadan.

 

 

Faridabad's AQI

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI in Faridabad was recorded as 186 in Sector 30, 213 in New Industrial Town, and 352 in Sector 11.
