Yunus Government Condemns Mob Lynching of Hindu Youth
It is noteworthy that the interim government led by Mohammad Yunus had stated in a statement yesterday that there is no place for such violence in the new Bangladesh. The statement further added that those responsible for this heinous crime will not be spared. According to a report by the Bangla Tribune news portal, a Hindu man named Deepu Chandra Das was lynched in Mymensingh city on Thursday on charges of alleged blasphemy. After killing him, the mob set his body on fire. A statement issued by the chief advisor's media team said: "We strongly and unequivocally condemn all acts of violence, intimidation, arson, and destruction of property."
