A day before Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's birth anniversary, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Sunday virtually flagged off a new train service from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar to New Delhi. On this occasion, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also attended the program.
Better connectivity between Ambedkar Nagar and Delhi
Speaking to the media, Minister Vaishnav said, "Tomorrow (April 14, 2025) is Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti and today we have sent a train from his birthplace to Delhi. This will improve connectivity between Ambedkar Nagar and Delhi. This train will run via Ujjain. Maha Kumbh is to be organized in Ujjain in 2028, so it can also be seen as the beginning of preparations for the Maha Kumbh."
On the same day, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Kota, Rajasthan flagged off a special train from Kota railway station to New Delhi. This train will provide direct connectivity between Kota and Delhi.

Later he was honored across the country as a symbol and leader of Dalits.
