Ambedkar Jayanti: Now the train will run from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar to Delhi, inaugurated by Ashwini Vaishnav

A day before Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's birth anniversary, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Sunday virtually flagged off a new train service from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar to New Delhi. On this occasion, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also attended the program.

 

Better connectivity between Ambedkar Nagar and Delhi

 

Speaking to the media, Minister Vaishnav said, "Tomorrow (April 14, 2025) is Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti and today we have sent a train from his birthplace to Delhi. This will improve connectivity between Ambedkar Nagar and Delhi. This train will run via Ujjain. Maha Kumbh is to be organized in Ujjain in 2028, so it can also be seen as the beginning of preparations for the Maha Kumbh."

 

On the same day, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Kota, Rajasthan flagged off a special train from Kota railway station to New Delhi. This train will provide direct connectivity between Kota and Delhi.

 

On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch several development projects in Haryana. These projects will be related to social and infrastructure development.

 

Babasaheb's birth anniversary is celebrated across the country.

 

Born on 14 April 1891, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar's birth anniversary is celebrated annually across the country. Schools, banks, and many public institutions remain closed on this day. People offer flowers, and light lamps and organize cultural programs to pay tribute to Babasaheb.

 

Dr. Ambedkar is called the architect of the Indian Constitution and the 'Father of the Indian Constitution'. He was also the first Law Minister of independent India. He was born in a Dalit Mahar family in Madhya Pradesh. He constantly fought for the rights of the deprived sections of society and led active movements against untouchability since 1927. Later he was honored across the country as a symbol and leader of Dalits.
