Addressing an event organized by the Economic Club of New York, Dimon praised PM Modi's efforts in poverty alleviation, infrastructure development, and bureaucracy reform.

Jamie Dimon said Prime Minister Modi has lifted 40 crore people out of poverty and is doing "incredible work" in India. Dimon praised the economic reforms implemented by the Modi government and said that some of them could be introduced in the US as well. He said that America also needs a tough leader like Modi.

Dimon further said that the Modi government opened bank accounts for about 70 crore people, ensuring financial access to a significant section of the population.
He said that it is amazing to see where every citizen is identified by hand, eye, and finger.
There has been significant improvement in India's education system and infrastructure and this has been possible only because of a just and strict person.
To break the web created by bureaucracy, one has to be strict and Modi is doing the same. Dimon also took on foreign governments who lectured India on climate change and labor rights.

Dimon also mirrored India's liberal press for often criticizing Modi despite his significant achievements. He said that PM Modi's policies have lifted nearly 40 crore Indians out of poverty and this is a big achievement, which should be acknowledged. Dimon also praised the progress made by India in financial inclusion.
