BJP MLAs walked out of the House on the second day of the Delhi Assembly session after Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of snatching away the government's power to pay compensation to the kin of COVID victims. He cautioned BJP MLA Vijender Gupta not to do "useless talk".
Vijender Gupta had asked why the Delhi government was not giving jobs to the dependents of government employees who died during the coronavirus epidemic based on sympathy.
In his reply, Sisodia targeted the BJP and said that they should go to the Lieutenant Governor and Home Minister Amit Shah and ask them why this power was taken away from the Delhi government. Sisodia said the Kejriwal government was in favor of giving jobs to the next of kin of any employee who died on duty, but it comes under the services department which is under the Delhi LG.
