Raja Murder Case: The court also sent the fourth accused Anand on transit remand, now Shillong Police will take all four

Anand Kurmi, the fourth accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, was presented in court on Tuesday morning. From there, he was also sent on a seven-day transit remand. He was brought from Bina to Indore late at night. Three other accused Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Raj Singh Kushwaha were sent on a seven-day transit remand on Monday itself. All four accused are in the custody of the Crime Branch. Now Shillong Police will take all four with them by plane. Then the remand of other accused including Sonam will be taken.

After the murder in Shillong, three accused had come to Indore and one has been arrested from Bina. Sonam was taken into custody from Ghazipur, while the fifth accused has been arrested from Lalitpur in UP. The interrogation of the accused taken into custody in Indore was not done in any police station but at the bungalow of a police officer. Shillong Police will now take their statements about how they killed Raja. Shillong Police has also collected the call details of the accused from Indore, evidence related to the murder plan. Sonam and the four accused had planned Raja's murder in a cafe in Indore's Super Corridor.

According to Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotia, Anand is a resident of Indore and all three accused are friends of Raj Kushwaha. Raj worked as an accountant in Sonam Raghuvanshi's office. Vishal and Anand are students and Akash is unemployed. None of them has any criminal record. The age of the four accused is between 20 and 25 years. Shillong police have questioned all of them. He said that when Raja Raghuvanshi was cremated, Raj Kushwaha was in Indore. There are some videos on social media in which he can be seen. The DCP said that after the completion of transit remand formalities later today, all four will be taken to Shillong. According to the police, the deceased's wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, and Raj Kushwaha are the main accused. Meghalaya Police brought Sonam Raghuvanshi to Phulwari Sharif police station in Patna, Bihar after getting a three-day transit remand.

Raj Kushwaha: Vishal knew about Raj and Sonam

Raj Kushwaha has a strong friendship with Vishal Chauraha. They are friends since school days. Vishal also knew everything about Raj and Sonam. Raj prepared Vishal for the murder. Raj had first told the three accused that he would also go with them to Shillong, but later told them that Raja can recognize him in Shillong. That is why he will stay in Indore and keep an eye on them. He got tickets for the three accused and sent them to Shillong.
