The Supreme Court has dismissed the petition challenging the order of the Mumbai High Court by the Maharashtra government and former state home minister Anil Deshmukh. Let us tell you that the High Court had directed a CBI inquiry into the corruption charges leveled by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh. The Supreme Court says that the high officials of the Maharashtra government are involved in the case, so the matter becomes serious.

Not only this, Justice Kaul of the Supreme Court rejected Anil Deshmukh's demand that no enemy has accused you. The court said that you have been accused by a person who was your 'righthand'. Along with this, the court also asked for the investigation to be conducted against Anil Deshmukh as well as former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh.

The allegations are serious, involving the Home Minister and the Commissioner of Police. They are working together until they are separated, both remain in a special position. Shouldn't there be a CBI inquiry? There is a need for an independent investigation because of the allegations and the persons involved in them.

During the court hearing, Anil Deshmukh's lawyer Kapil Sibal said that the law should be equal for all. He said that Parambir Singh is a police officer, so his statement cannot be considered as evidence. His words do not become evidence because he is a police officer.

Let us tell you that in a letter written to CM Uddhav Thackeray, the former commissioner of Mumbai Police accused Anil Deshmukh of extorting Rs 100 crore. In the same case, the Bombay High Court recently ordered a preliminary inquiry against the Anil Deshmukh to the CBI. Only after this order, Anil Deshmukh resigned from the post of Home Minister.

Let us also tell you that this whole issue has come up after the explosives-laden with explosives in the house of the country's richest industrialist Mukesh Ambani. In this case, a Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vazhe has been arrested by the NIA. He is being interrogated. The former police commissioner of the Mumbai police had created a sensation by accusing Anil Dekhmukh that he had targeted Sachin Vaje to extort Rs 100 crore.
